Job Description – Pharmacist

 Job Title: Pharmacist

 Location: Manchester, Chester, , Dudley

 Employment Type: Full-time 

Role Purpose

The Pharmacist will be responsible for  safe, effective, and efficient provision of pharmaceutical services. The role checks prescriptions and advises patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsibilities:
  • Clinically check prescriptions from doctors/dentists.
  • Counsel patients on how to take medicines and possible side effects.
  • Give health advice (e.g., on smoking cessation, vaccinations, minor ailments).
  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and dispensers.
  • Legally responsible for the supply of medicines.
• Training:
  • Master’s degree in Pharmacy.
  • One-year foundation training placement.
  • Pass the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) exam.
  • Must be registered with the GPhC.
• Authority: Can legally check and sign off prescriptions.
